Over the last decade, employer-sponsored health insurance premiums have increased 119 percent. 4
Employee’s share jumped during this period jumping from $1,543 to $3,354.4 per year
2. What does it cover? One proposal (HR 3200)says it will cover this: Government‐Run Public Option. This option creates an essential benefits package that provides a comprehensive set of services and covers 70 percent of the actuarial value of the covered benefits. The essential benefits must include well‐baby,
well‐child, oral health, vision, hearing, equipment and supplies for children under the age of 21, along
with preventive services with no cost‐sharing.
3. Will our taxes go up? Not unless you are loaded and then only 1 or 2 pennies on the dollar: Health Care Surtax. A one percentage point income tax surtax would be imposed, starting at $280,000 per year
($350,000 for couples), plus another percentage point at $400,000 per year
(500,000 for couples), will then rise
to three points on more than $800,000 per year ($1 million for couples) in 2011.

We will be forced to buy and carry insurance if we want medical treatment. A medical panel will determine who will get medical treatment based of cost effectiveness. My employer doesn’t offer coverage.
I see the profits of insurance companies and wonder how they make that much. Are they overcharging? Are they denying care to people that need it?

THE current bill is not the answer ,,,does not address proper Tort Reform, “undocumented” access for expensive non-life threatening HC , & does not provide MOST IMPORTANTLY an OPT OUT Provision for those that believe it is still too bloated with waste & inefficiencies resulting in inflated premiums not in keeping with services provided.
….A mandate stuffed inside a trojan horse bill for HC is a skunk in the road…too stupid to debate…
